Le colloque

The objectives of the colloque « Graines 2017 » are to review the research carried out by French laboratories, promote new multidisciplinary approaches and respond to the emerging needs of society in the areas of biodiversity, production, food safety, seed utilization and New quality criteria.

This colloque is coordinated by the French Network of Seed Biology, which brings together the French scientific community working on the biology of seeds, their development, their adaptation to the environment and their food and non-food uses. This network created in 2006, allows to federate the interactions between teams working, on several sites in France, on the seeds in different disciplines.To support this network and share information, a colloque is held every two years.
Five colloque have already taken place (Angers in 2007, Paris in 2009, Nantes in 2011, Dijon in 2013 and Clermont-Ferrand in 2015), they brought together the national scientific community (researchers, engineers, students ) That works on seeds and attracts professionals from the sector.

The price of the registration 180 € TTC (full price) or 72 € TTC (student package) includes:

  • coffee breaks
  • the lunches of 18 and 19 October 2017 in the Hall Philippe Lamour, Campus de la Gaillarde, Montpellier SupAgro
  • The Gala Dinner at the Restaurant Le Phare - Palavas les Flots of 18 October at 8pm


The abstracts submitted will be evaluated by the Scientific Committee and selected according to their relevance for oral presentations or posters in the corresponding sessions. The program is designed to encourage young researchers to give oral presentations. All the abstracts will be published in the book of abstracts of the colloque "GRAINES 2017".
